Motorcycling Australia (MA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn MacDonald as Australian Team Manager for the 2013 Junior Motocross World Championship, to be held in Jinin, Czech Republic on 11 August.

Glenn MacDonald is no stranger in the world of motorcycle sport, as he has been competitively racing motorcycles for over 30 years and has a wealth of experience unsurpassed. Glenn is accredited by both the Australian Institute of Sport and Australian Coaching Council as a Level 2 Master Coach – the highest accreditation available.

Not only has Glenn MacDonald got experience on the track, but also has many years of team coach and team manager experience as well.

“I am honoured to have been appointed as Team Manager and to represent Motorcycling Australia to the world. My goal is to make Australia proud,” MacDonald said.

“I have worked with a lot of junior riders in the past. Managing the Yamaha Junior Development team in Victoria and been working together with KTM for the last seven years. One of the highlights of my career was to work with Jay Wilson and Dylon Long and they finished 1st and 3rd in the 85cc FIM World Junior Motocross Championships in New Zealand.”

“I feel fortunate that Motorcycling Australia will send out riders of World Championship level. I am sure that the riders are of suitable calibre. My goal is definitely to try and make them feel comfortable and implement their skills in the right way. I already have some good ideas to achieve these goals.”
