New dates and initiatives announced for the Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy

11/01/13

Glenn Macdonald, Director / Head Coach of the Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy (MACA Coaching) is pleased to announce a new approach to introduce and coach female participants in motocross as well as a new series of course dates for 2013.

“We have had a great response from Clubs for the 2013 season and I am really pleased to be able to announce more dates and venues for our courses. We will be heading back to Kununurra in Western Australia and up to Cairns in far north Queensland, attending venues nationally. Some courses are scheduled prior to State Championship rounds to assist those competing at such events and we are fortunate to have a course at Horsham VIC in late August also” Macdonald advised.

“I am also able to announce a one-day course aimed at supporting female participants in the sport of motocross and off-road. The day will be headed by one of the country’s most decorated motocross racers, Kristy Gillespie. Kristy and I have worked together in various capacities for many years and she is a solid coach that brings a wealth of experience not only to our mixed courses, but also aspiring female riders” said Macdonald.

MACA Coaching has held very successful women’s only programs in the past and are keen to again provide a service in this demographic. The course will be held at Oaklands in Tasmania, with 15 limited positions available for female participants.

Macdonald added “Attracting female participants in this sport can be difficult, however we are hoping that by combining the event with 15 male participants who will be coached exclusively with me in a separate group, it will encourage the females to give it a try, whether they come alone or perhaps with a male relative who will be at the course also.”

Registrations are now available for the following courses:

With a proven track record of success for MACA trained riders on a State, National and International stage, including the FIM World Junior Championships, these schools will fill fast.
